Assist in the preparation and cooking of various food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to strict hygiene and sanitation protocols.
- Perform dishwashing duties, ensuring all kitchenware, utensils, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized properly.
- Follow all food safety guidelines and procedures to prevent contamination and ensure the quality of food served.
- Support senior kitchen staff in daily operations, including receiving and storing ingredients, and managing inventory levels.
- Collaborate effectively with other kitchen crew members and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Willingness to learn new cooking techniques and kitchen procedures as required by the team.
- Assist chefs and cooks in food preparation tasks, including washing, chopping, and portioning ingredients according to recipes and established standards.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by adhering to strict kitchen hygiene and food safety protocols, including regular cleaning of workstations, equipment, and utensils.
- Perform dishwashing duties efficiently, ensuring all cookware, tableware, and utensils are properly cleaned, sanitized, and stored.
- Support inventory management by assisting with receiving, stocking, and rotating food supplies, and reporting any low stock levels or discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen team members to ensure smooth workflow, timely order fulfillment, and overall kitchen efficiency.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to food handling, safety, and sanitation to prevent foodborne illnesses and ensure product quality.
- Undertake basic cooking tasks under supervision, such as preparing simple dishes, garnishes, or components of larger meals as directed by senior kitchen staff.
