Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of HR experience in a generalist role, with exposure to recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations.
- Legal/Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with the Sabah Labour Ordinance (HQ) and the Employment Act 1955 (KL branch).
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of HR operations (payroll, leave management, statutory contributions). Knowledge of employee performance management frameworks.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to guide and support managers in leadership and performance conversations; organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, resourceful, and adaptable.
- Comfortable working in a creative, fast-paced environment.
- Confident in guiding both employees and managers through performance and leadership conversations.
- Recruitment & Onboarding – Manage end-to-end hiring and deliver engaging onboarding.
- Employee Relations & Engagement – Be the first point of contact, support events, and foster a positive culture.
- HR Operations & Compliance – Maintain records, ensure compliance with Sabah Labour Ordinance and the Employment Act 1955, manage leave/benefits.
- Performance & Leadership Development – Lead performance reviews, coach managers, and support leadership growth.
- Compensation & Benefits – Coordinate payroll, statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS), and benefits administration.
- Policy & Process Development – Draft, update, and communicate HR policies and SOPs.
- Training & Development – Identify needs, coordinate training, and support career growth.
- Workplace Health & Safety – Promote safe practices and wellness initiatives.
- HR Data & Reporting – Maintain HRIS and provide management with HR metrics.
- Grievance & Disciplinary Handling – Facilitate fair and consistent resolution of workplace issues.
