Purchasing Assistant (Mandarin Speaker)

- You shall responsible for material planning & inventory control.
- You shall ensure Purchase Order (PO) are issued based on lead time.
- You shall collate purchase requisitions and purchase orders in order to order materials, goods and supplies.
- You shall follow up on orders to ensure that materials are shipped and delivered on promised dates.
- You shall inspect products received for quality and quantity to ensure adherence to specifications.
- You shall ensure that any invoices are sent to HQ / Purchasing department for verification before pass to Accounts department for cheque issue.
- You shall monitor price increases and communicating changes when necessary.
- You shall review line points/ order points for inventory stock levels.
- You shall obtain quotations from vendors / suppliers and negotiate for the best price, best quality and best service to ensure cost effectiveness.
- You shall maintain and update vendor / supplier list on a timely basis.
- You shall verify purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list, clarifying unclear items, recommending alternatives.
- You shall prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from requisitioning department.
- You shall follow up closely to ensure on time deliveries for ordered items to support progress of works.
- You shall interact with suppliers to solve delivery or quality problems.
- You shall responsible doing month end stock take.
- You shall perform any ad hoc and other duties relating to the above as may be assigned by your superior from time to time.
