What you'll do:

As Head of Corporate Planning, you will play a vital role in guiding the organisation’s strategic direction by managing the full lifecycle of corporate planning initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain an annual portfolio of key strategic initiatives that align with the group’s overarching goals.
  • Initiate and coordinate the creation of comprehensive business plans and budgets in partnership with all business divisions.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure strategic business cases are robust, well-aligned, and fully supported by relevant data.
  • Facilitate effective decision-making during high-level discussions and ensure follow-through on critical action items.
  • Analyse and present complex data related to strategy execution to support senior management and board-level decisions.
  • Participate in financial analysis for new investments, ventures, and business relationships while providing concise reporting to senior management.
  • Evaluate new business ideas or investment opportunities through competitor benchmarking and market analysis.
  • Reconcile top-down and bottom-up departmental plans into cohesive division-wide strategies.
  • Provide expert advice that promotes investor confidence while considering enterprise risks, regulatory requirements, financial viability, and alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Organise roadshows, press briefings, and prepare information such as annual reports to support investor relations activities.

What you bring:

Your background as Head of Corporate Planning demonstrates not only technical proficiency but also an ability to nurture strong working relationships across all levels of an organisation. You bring extensive experience in finance-related disciplines—particularly within environments where mergers & acquisitions are commonplace—and have honed your skills in analysing complex data sets for actionable insights.

  • A degree in finance or a related discipline coupled with at least 10 years’ relevant experience in corporate planning or similar roles within financial services or large organisations.
  • Proven track record in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), including deep familiarity with current regulations governing corporate exercises.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with experience conducting financial modelling, scenario analysis, and market feasibility studies for both traditional investments and digital initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex projects involving multiple stakeholders across legal, compliance, operations, IT, marketing, customer relationship management, and risk management functions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach that fosters teamwork across diverse groups within the organisation.
  • Experience preparing clear reports for senior management audiences as well as external stakeholders such as investors or analysts.
  • Ability to synthesise large volumes of information into concise presentations tailored for different audiences including boards of directors or third-party analysts.
  • A keen understanding of digital technology trends relevant to financial services along with experience evaluating digital product proposals or implementing new digital solutions.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail throughout each project phase.
