Customer Experience & Engagement Crew (Cafe | Walk-in & Storytelling Focus | Part Time)

We are looking for an energetic and outgoing individual to join our cafe team - not just to serve customers but to create a welcoming and memorable experience.

This is NOT a typical cafe role. You will be based at the entrance of the cafe, actively engage with potential customers, inviting them in, recommend menu options and sharing the story behind Drury Heritage.

If you are confident, friendly and enjoy talking to people, this role is for you.

This role is NOT suitable for shy or passive individuals. You are expected to actively approach and engage customers, helping create a welcoming experience that encourages them to step in, feel comfortable and experience the heritage space, while naturally enjoy our local food and drinks.

What You Will Do:
  • Actively engage passers-by and invite them into the cafe
  • Recommend drink, foodand sets to help customers decide
  • Ensure customers who sit down are attended to and assisted with ordering
  • Share stories about Drury Heritage, the space and our concept
  • Create a welcoming and lively engaging entrance experience
  • Observe customer behaviour and respond (e.g. unsure, browsing about to leave)
  • Support basic front-of-house service when needed

Pay & Incentives:
  • RM10 – RM15 per hour (based on experience and performance)
  • Staff meals provided
Working Hours:
  • Flexible part-time shifts
  • Lunch (11:30am – 2:30pm) or Evening (6:30pm – 10:30pm)
  • Weekly scheduling
Training Provided:
  • Menu knowledge and product recommendations
  • Storytelling about Drury Heritage
  • Basic guidance on customer engagement approach
What You Need To Succeed:
  • You must already be confident approaching and talking to people
  • Comfortable recommeding and influencing simple decisions
  • Willing to actively engage customers (not passive service)
  • Friendly, confident, and outgoing personality
  • Comfortable approaching and talking to strangers
  • Positive attitude and energetic presence
  • Able to stand and move around during shift
  • Experience in F&B, retail or promotion is a plus (not required)
