Systems Technician

You will work closely with engineers and senior technicians to ensure automation systems are correctly assembled, installed, tested, and commissioned—both physically and digitally.

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to read and understand basic electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Comfortable using hand tools and basic testing equipment (e.g. multimeters).
• Basic PC skills, including Windows OS and simple networking concepts (e.g. IP addressing).
• Willing to work on-site: Comfortable working in industrial plants, substations, or outdoor utility environments.
• Hands-on mindset: Enjoys building, wiring, testing, and fixing systems rather than purely desk-based work.
• Eager to learn: Open to training in SCADA software, industrial communication protocols, and basic cybersecurity practices.
• Team-oriented: Able to follow instructions, work with engineers, and support project teams on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the assembly of RTU and control panels, including component mounting and point-to-point wiring based on electrical drawings.
• Perform cable termination, labelling, and basic panel housekeeping.

• Travel to project sites to support installation works such as equipment mounting, cable pulling, and field device connection.
• Assist with signal checking and loop testing during commissioning activities.

• Learn and assist in configuring IP addresses and basic network settings.
• Support setup of industrial switches and basic software uploads to RTUs and SCADA servers.
• Assist engineers during system integration and testing.

• Carry out preventive maintenance checks on installed systems.
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving basic hardware, wiring, or communication faults at site.

• Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) by preparing panels, powering up devices, and ensuring all peripherals are properly connected and ready for testing.

• Red-line site drawings to reflect as-built conditions.
• Maintain records of equipment serial numbers, test results, and site observations.
