Factory Operations Leader (GM Engineering Succession Path)
A leading international FMCG manufacturer known for its iconic household snacks is seeking a high-caliber Engineer (Factory operation). This isn't just a maintenance role; we are looking for a strategic thinker with the grit and vision to transition into a (GM Engineering) role within the next (3) three years.
Based in Malaysia.
The Mission
As a key member of the engineering team, you will ensure the heartbeat of our factory remains at peak performance. Your focus will be on:
- Operational Excellence: You must be capable of handling both wrapping machines and vertical wrapping machines.
- Preventative Strategy: You will ensure all machine maintenance and servicing are done according to schedule.
- Strategic Planning: You are responsible for planning ahead before any process of maintenance and servicing.
- Efficiency: A core goal is minimizing machineries breakdown and production downtime.
- Compliance: You will ensure all maintenance processes are carried out according to ISO 9001, HACCP, ISO 22000, and FSSC 22000 requirements.
- Safety: You are responsible for ensuring all machines are safe to handle.
- Continuous Improvement: You will perform continuous improvement in process and machineries.
- Mentorship: You will train subordinates on the correct procedure of machine maintenance and train fellow workers on the correct operation of machinery.

- Technical Knowledge: You possess good mechanical or electrical knowledge, and experience in a manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
- Analytical Skills: You have excellent analytical and trouble shooting skills.
- Leadership Traits: You are able to make effective and firm decisions while working independently with minimal supervision.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in Mandarin (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) is essential, as this role involves frequent collaboration with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and clients.
- Digital Savvy: You are computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Mobility: Possession of own transport is preferred.
