The Procurement Executive is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process for solar projects, ensuring timely material availability, cost control, and supplier performance.
 A.  Procurement & Material Planning
  • Manage procurement of solar project materials, including but not limited to:
  • Solar panels
  • Inverters
  • Mounting structures
  • Cables and electrical components
  • Plan material requirements based on project schedules and site needs.
  • Ensure materials are delivered on time, in correct quantity, and according to specifications.
  • Coordinate closely with Project, Site, and Design teams to align procurement with installation timelines.
 B.  Cost Control & Price Negotiation
  • Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply.
  • Conduct price comparison, negotiation, and cost analysis.
  • Monitor market pricing trends for solar-related materials.
  • Achieve cost savings while maintaining required quality standards.
 C.  Supplier Management
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on:
  • Pricing
  • Delivery reliability
  • Quality consistency
  • Address supplier issues, delays, or discrepancies proactively.
  • Identify alternative suppliers to mitigate supply risk.
 D.  Order Processing & Documentation
  • Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO) accurately and promptly.
  • Track order status, delivery schedules, and shipment progress.
  • Ensure all procurement documentation is properly recorded and maintained.
  • Verify invoices against purchase orders and delivery notes before submission.
 E.  Coordination & Operational Support
  • Work closely with:
  • Site teams (installation schedule & material needs)
  • Operations team (project coordination)
  • Accounts department (payment and invoice processing)
  • Ensure seamless communication across departments to avoid delays or material shortages.
 F.  Inventory & Stock Control
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure adequate inventory for ongoing projects.
  • Prevent overstocking or understocking situations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and stock tracking systems.
