about the job
  • Oversee the planning, technical design, and on-ground execution of solar energy systems, ensuring all work complies with applicable codes and best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with external stakeholders to drive timely and successful delivery of utility-scale solar and battery storage projects.
  • Perform detailed system assessments, identify potential risks, and resolve technical issues related to photovoltaic (PV) installations.
  • Track project spending and make necessary adjustments to keep costs within the authorized budget.
  • Provide flexible support across project activities, taking direction from supervisors as priorities shift.
  • Prepare documentation and process requests for supplier quotations and procurement requisitions in accordance with project needs.
  • Review and validate reports prepared by junior engineers on site conditions and pre-existing structural conditions, ensuring consistency and engineering accuracy.
  • Facilitate internal coordination meetings throughout the project lifecycle—from initiation to closeout—to ensure alignment across teams.
  • Maintain regular updates on site progress and communicate status to relevant stakeholders.
  • Consolidate and review project site reports submitted by field personnel, ensuring documentation is timely, accurate, and complete.
skills/requirements
  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
  • Certification in Grid-Connected Photovoltaic (GCPV) Systems Design by SEDA.
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in solar project delivery, renewable energy development, or related EPCC activities.
  • Solid understanding of PV system layout, performance modeling, and utility interconnection guidelines.
  • Skilled in design and productivity tools such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and PVsyst, with a keen eye for detail and documentation.
