What you'll do:
As a Technical Supplier Coordinator based in Johor, you will be instrumental in managing relationships with regional suppliers while acting as a vital link between these partners and the global engineering team. Your day-to-day activities will involve facilitating multilingual communication during virtual meetings, tracking contract statuses, negotiating costs, escalating potential risks, preparing comprehensive reports for leadership review, attending cross-functional meetings to stay updated on project developments, supporting engineering teams administratively, ensuring supplier adherence to quality standards through close coordination with compliance groups, resolving uncertainties collaboratively, and embracing new challenges as they arise.Success in this role will come from your ability to communicate effectively across cultures, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, maintain meticulous records of supplier interactions, proactively address issues before they escalate, provide reliable support to technical teams, uphold rigorous quality standards among vendors, adapt quickly to changing circumstances or requirements, and contribute positively within a collaborative team environment.
- Facilitate clear and timely communication between regional suppliers and the global engineering team by participating in online meetings across multiple time zones, providing interpretation and translation as needed.
- Track the status and timelines of supplier contracts and purchase orders, ensuring all parties are informed of expectations, deliverables, and any changes to schedules.
- Escalate any project risks or issues that could impact progress to management promptly, following through with response plans as directed.
- Negotiate costs and quotes with suppliers while maintaining positive relationships that support long-term collaboration.
- Prepare detailed reports and status updates on project information for presentation to upper management, ensuring transparency at every stage.
- Attend regular project and staff update meetings to gather relevant information for ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Support engineering development activities by assisting with purchase order entry and other administrative tasks as required.

- Fluency in English, Mandarin, and Malay for effective multilingual communication in both written correspondence and live discussions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications—particularly PowerPoint for presentations; Excel for data tracking; Outlook for scheduling communications.
- A solid grasp of basic product development concepts along with manufacturing terminology relevant to technical supplier coordination roles.
- Ability to remain composed when dealing with ambiguity or rapidly evolving project requirements by applying sound judgement and flexibility.
