Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the shipping industry. Fresh graduate is encouraged to apply.
  • Familiar with and able to work on Ocean/ Air / LCL export and import shipments under CIF, FOB, DDU, DDP, and EXW terms. Candidates keen more this nature of business shall be added advantages.
  • Able to work independently or collaboratively with the team and related parties to secure deals and resolve issues.
  • Able to build and maintain strong networks and relationships with customers, vendors (forwarder& forwarding) and carriers.
  • Fluency in English and local languages (e.g., Malay, Mandarin) is preferred.
  • Order & Shipment Organization
  1. Collaborate with internal teams ( documentation, logistics) to track orders and ensure smooth processing
  2. Provide regular updates on order status to your superior and highlight any potential delays of issues.
  • Payment Follow-up & Collection
  1. Work with internal departments ( e.g. documentation & accounting) to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate financial records.
  • Freight & shipping booking (Bcs)
  1. Collaborate with internal shipping and logistics teams to monitor freight rates and ensure cost-effective shipping solutions
  2. Maintain strong communications with internal teams to ensure standard processing and timely execution of shipments.
  • Supplier & Customer Coordination
  1. Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring responsive communication and resolution of any issues related to orders, shipments, and documentation.
  2. Establish good and strong relationships with Ship Owners and Charterers to develop potential business.
  3. Work closely with the Operations team to facilitate close communication with customers.
  4. Follow closely the market developments and freight rates
  • Cost control & organization
  1. Negotiate and arrange the transport of goods with shipping or freight companies. Planning shipment, arranging with the carrier for the booking of the container, and liaising with the warehouse department and hauler on container trucking.
  • Administrative and General Support
  1. Handling day-to-day client operation issues and ensuring issues are resolved promptly.
  2. Support the Manager by following up on tasks, tracking deadlines, and providing updates on project progress.
  3. Handle administrative tasks, such as sampling, external lab testing, courier dispatch & collections.
