Corporate Finance - Manager/ Senior Manager

A distinguished advisory frim in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Corporate Finance Manager to join its esteemed team. This position presents an exceptional opportunity for you to assume a central role in supporting prominent mergers and acquisitions, fundraising transactions, and capital market activities

What you'll do:

• Supervise the daily collection of equity analyst reports and summaries of Bursa announcements by executives, ensuring meticulous accuracy and promptness in information gathering.
• Assist in the acquisition of essential data as required, demonstrating a dependable approach to advancing collective objectives.
• Disseminate collated reports and pertinent information to the department each day, thereby facilitating informed decision-making throughout the team.
• Circulate timely updates regarding news relevant to both existing and target clients within the department to maintain comprehensive awareness of market developments.
• Oversee the maintenance of an extensive database for mergers and acquisitions as well as fundraising transactions using prescribed formats to ensure consistency and accessibility.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop standardised presentation templates whilst ensuring all databases reflect the latest rules, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Condense new rules and regulations into accessible flowcharts or tables as needed, rendering complex information comprehensible for all team members.
• Collect additional relevant reports such as those from rating agencies to provide regular insights to the department.
• Superintend the preparation, coordination, and filing of engagement mandates, non-disclosure agreements, document checklists, due diligence lists, and ad-hoc correspondence with regulatory authorities.
• Support senior staff by conducting research for pitchbooks or presentation materials—including video presentations—utilising tools such as Bloomberg Terminal to source precise information.

What you bring:

• A degree in Accountancy or Finance or possession of a recognised professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, MICPA or equivalent; alternatively substantial relevant experience within the industry is welcomed.
• At least three years’ experience serving in financial advisory or corporate finance roles with demonstrable involvement in mergers and acquisitions, listings, securities issues or analogous transactions.
• Comprehensive understanding of capital markets operations together with familiarity with securities law and guidelines issued by authorities such as Securities Commission Malaysia or Bursa Malaysia.
• Proven record managing compliance requirements including up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, consolidation procedures, and adeptness at resolving challenges within complex regulatory environments.
