Development, you will work across service lines to drive market opportunities, enable growth and
position EY’s technology capabilities effectively in the marketplace.
The opportunity
EY Malaysia is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive the growth of our Tax Technologysolutions through a focused sales and pre‑sales remit.
This is a 12‑month contract role designed for a high‑performing software / SaaS sales professionalwith a strong solution‑selling mindset. The role operates as a growth partner to Tax leadership and
solution teams, owning the end‑to‑end sales lifecycle; from opportunity identification through deal
closure, for technology‑enabled tax solutions.
You will play a key role in shaping market demand, articulating value propositions, and convertingopportunities into revenue, while positioning EY as a trusted provider of tax technology solutions.
Your key responsibilities- Tax Technology Sales & Growth Leadership
- Own and drive the full sales lifecycle for Tax Technology solutions, from pipeline generation
- Identify, qualify and prioritise high‑value opportunities aligned to EY’s Tax Technology
- Shape and execute sales strategies that position EY’s tax technology offerings as
differentiated, relevant and value‑driven.
Client Engagement & Solution Selling- Engage senior client stakeholders to understand business and tax transformation needs.
- Translate complex tax and technology challenges into clear, compelling solution narratives.
- Lead solution positioning, product walkthroughs and pre‑sales discussions in collaboration with Tax and technology specialists.
- Lead and coordinate sales pursuits, ensuring effective mobilisation of firm resources.
- Maintain commercial rigour across pricing, deal structuring and contractual considerations.
- Ensure opportunities are accurately forecasted, tracked and reported through firm
systems.
Market & Relationship Development- Build and maintain a strong client and prospect network across relevant market segments.
- Stay close to market trends, tax regulatory developments and competitive offerings to
- Share market intelligence and lessons learned to continuously strengthen Tax Technology

To qualify for the role you must have- 7-9 years sales experience
- Proven experience in software or SaaS sales, ideally in enterprise or professional services
- Demonstrated success in sales / pre‑sales roles, owning pipeline development and deal
- Strong experience selling technology or digital solutions using a consultative, value‑based
- A recognised university degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- Exposure to tax technology, finance transformation, or regulatory technology solutions.
- Experience selling into complex, matrixed organisations or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with professional services or hybrid software‑enabled consulting models.
