Your future employer is a public listed property development company that has completed multiple residential, commercial & industrial projects in the past, and is currently hiring for a Site Engineer (civil) for their project management team in Perak.
about the job
The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing and coordinating construction activities from initial groundwork (earthworks) to full structural completion. This position requires a technically competent individual with multilingual and strong communication skills, capable of working with multi-disciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors on fast-paced project sites.
- Project Oversight: Supervise and coordinate site operations to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery of civil and structural works.
- Earthworks Management: Oversee and inspect early-phase construction activities such as site clearing, excavation, grading, and soil stabilisation.
- Structural Construction: Monitor and manage the execution of substructure and superstructure works, ensuring adherence to drawings, codes, and quality standards.
- Technical Coordination: Collaborate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and local authorities to resolve design, site, or compliance issues promptly.
- Progress Monitoring: Maintain daily records, update weekly site progress reports, and flag risks or delays with recommended solutions.
- Quality Control: Conduct inspections and ensure that works comply with project specifications, construction standards, and safety regulations.
- HSE Compliance: Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on-site, conducting toolbox meetings and safety briefings as necessary.
- Resource & Cost Monitoring: Assist in tracking material usage, verifying quantities, and managing resources to optimize efficiency and minimize wastage.

skills and experience required- Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction, including exposure to both earthworks and structural build-up

- Possess strong leadership, analytical, and site coordination abilities
- Willing to travel or relocate for project-based assignments
