Cost Analyst

What you'll do:
As a Cost Analyst, you will be at the forefront of driving financial efficiency within the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve developing detailed cost models, conducting thorough evaluations of various aspects of production, and optimising inventory management.You will also be tasked with preparing insightful reports that aid in management decisions and spearheading process improvements within the company. Furthermore, you will work closely with various teams to drive budgeting excellence. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to enhancing financial controls.
- Develop and maintain cost models to accurately calculate product, plant, or project costs.
- Conduct in-depth evaluations of raw materials, production processes, and finished goods to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency.
- Monitor inventory valuation, conduct audits, and assess production yield to enhance cost efficiency and accuracy in stock reporting.
- Prepare management accounts for comprehensive costing reports and provide valuable insights to support management decisions and audit processes.
- Identify and implement enhancements in costing procedures and financial controls.
- Collaborate with the sales, plant and finance team to prepare annual budgets, forecast costs, and align cost control measures with overall financial objectives.
