Qualification & Experience
  • For a senior executive, a minimum of 5years of relevant experience in related industries and have assumed executive/associate positions with good professional ethics and occupational track records. For an executive, a fresh graduate will suffice.
Competencies
  • Understand the business needs of the Bank and provide the required legal support
  • Understand the technicalities of legal documents
  • Actively seek to improve the terms and process flow of legal documentation
  • Able to guide and impart legal knowledge and awareness to personnel of the Bank
  • Execute or assist to execute the initiative taken by Group Legal Department

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s law degree.

Experience

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in related industries and have assumed executive position with good professional ethics and occupational track records.
  • As required under the job scope, to safeguard the legal interest of the Bank.
  • As and when required, to facilitate and provide accurate and timely legal advice to the stakeholders.
  • To vet, draft and/or provide legal advice/opinion on agreements and legal documents.
  • To keep abreast of the latest development of Acts and legal issues affecting the Bank.
  • To facilitate and monitor the litigation matters instituted against the Bank (excluding recovery proceedings against customers).
  • To facilitate the department’s administrative matters (appointment, management, registration, review) regarding the relevant panel service providers of the Bank.
  • As and when necessary, to facilitate other departments in the Bank on investigation of the Bank concerning the Bank/staff.
  • As and when necessary, to review/revise/formulate policy and procedure under the department.
  • To anticipate and assist in addressing legal problems by providing legal guidelines and advice.
  • To attend and assist Head of Group Legal Department to prepare the proposal papers to be presented to the Board/management.
  • Undertake other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of Department from time to time or as and when necessary for the effective realization of the job purpose.
