What you'll do:
  • As the Test Centre of Excellence Lead, you will be entrusted with steering the end
-to-end delivery of testing services for mission-critical applications spanning digital platforms, core banking systems, wealth management solutions, cards processing environments, and more.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close collaboration with both internal teams
  • ranging from engineering to governance
  • and external partners to ensure that every aspect of the testing lifecycle is executed flawlessly.
  • Take overall accountability for delivering testing services across multiple applications or projects within critical banking domains.
  • Collaborate with engineering and governance teams to review and align all testing processes with evolving software development methodologies.
  • Oversee daily performance test service delivery by vendors, ensuring rigorous standards in testing execution.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and external service providers to consistently achieve testing objectives.
  • Review, provide feedback on, and sign off on test strategies, plans, and artefacts to ensure comprehensive coverage and compliance.
  • Coordinate with the Test Governance team to promote best-in-class methods, tools, and standards, and support health checks or audits as needed.
  • Manage and report on test-related statuses, SLAs, and KPIs to meet targets, while driving planning efforts and participating in forums for testing transformation and innovation.
What you bring: To excel as the Test Centre of Excellence Lead you will bring extensive hands-on experience managing complex test delivery programmes within large financial institutions or similarly regulated industries.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer engineering or a related field is required.
  • At least 15-20 years of relevant experience in test delivery roles, with 5 years in senior management, particularly in large-scale organizations like banking or finance.
  • Proven ability to manage end-to-end performance testing across various domains, including Digital Banking Platforms, Core Banking Systems, Enterprise Solutions, Wealth Management Applications, and Card Processing Environments.
  • Expertise in collaborating with engineering and governance teams to refine processes in alignment with evolving software development methodologies.
  • Skilled in handling complex integrations with downstream systems using message queues, mainframes, or distributed architectures and effectively monitoring and reporting performance data.
  • Proficient in documenting software defects using tools like JIRA and Confluence, and communicating issues clearly among developers, testers, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster organizational cultures focused on high morale, integrity, and teamwork, with experience in Agile environments promoting shared responsibility.
  • In-depth knowledge of scalable and distributed system technologies, including service virtualization and cloud environments, and understanding of trade-offs affecting performance.
  • Proficient in forecasting, resource planning, delivery execution, and timeline creation while managing global, multi-cultural, direct, and virtual teams, including headcount management and recruitment.
  • Hands-on experience conducting performance tests using protocols like HTTP/HTTPS/RTE/web services, analyzing scalability and load metrics, building benchmarks, measuring SLAs, and recommending improvements based on findings.
