JOB PURPOSE
Plan and execute initiatives related to Student Industrial Internship Program (SIIP), supporting Assistant Manager, including program promotion, internship placement facilitation, monitoring of internship student well-being, progress and assessments.Collaborate with industry partners and internal stakeholders to ensure students gain meaningful industry experience, meet academic requirements, and achieve program objectives to support the university’s mission to produce well-rounded, industry-ready, and highly employable graduates.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Internship Program Implementation and Support
Plan and manage the end-to-end execution of the Student Industrial Internship Program (SIIP);- Process placements both locally and abroad,
- coordinate assessment submissions
- monitoring of program timelines,
- review of operational guidelines, briefings, and internship visit itineraries,
- oversee feedback management,
- monitor performance and provide continuous support to students including well-being and crisis response,
- carry out required engagement with stakeholders.
Monitoring Progress & Assessment Coordination
Lead in managing assessment-related activities.- set up course components for marking entry,
- prepare and review online assessment forms,
- audit and analyse results for faculty deliberation
- prepare relevant documentation for examination committees.
Internship Advisory and Consultations
Provide advisory support to prepare students for internships, including guidance on resume writing, placement opportunities, and program expectations.
Stakeholder Management
Support in maintaining a good relationship with existing and potential industry partners to expand internship opportunities. Support the stakeholders in understanding their roles, the policies, and assessment requirements.
Internship System and Data Management
Manage and maintain internship system and database, ensuring accurate records of student’s placement, assessments, supervisors, and recruiters. Ensure data quality, generate reports and provide insights for decision-making, coordinate with internal teams to maintain or improve system functionality.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE- Recognised Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field
- At least 1 to 3 years of experience in relevant field or in education industry
- Professional qualification and advanced degree would be an added advantage
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
Candidates with following experience will have an added advantage:
- Experience in engaging with internal & external stakeholders
- Experience in handling internship process and coordinating/managing internship and employer related programs
- Experience in managing large volumes of data while ensuring accuracy and integrity of the data
