We are seeking a proactive and curious Web Development Intern to assist our team with various web development functions. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to manage WordPress projects, contribute to front-end development, and engage in diverse digital tasks within a supportive and mentoring environment.
Job Responsibilities
Your role is diverse, but your primary focus is to assist teammates across various web development functions:
- Manage several WordPress projects, including:
- Maintaining and improving existing in-house WordPress sites
- Building and supporting new client WordPress projects
- Contribute to a range of web development activities, such as:
- Copywriting for web content
- Graphic design and asset sourcing for web use
- Wireframing and prototyping web pages
- Front-end web development
- Basic web server infrastructure management
- And others
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s digital assets, user needs, and technical requirements.
- Collaborate closely with your assigned mentor and participate in coaching, feedback, and review sessions with managers and other teammates.
- Take initiative to experiment, learn, and deliver results in a supportive environment.
Undergraduate students in:
- Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or related fields
- Equipped with fundamental skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with the following is a plus:
- WordPress development and management
- SSG-focused web frameworks (e.g. Hugo, AstroJS, NextJS)
- Technical SEO and accessibility standards
- SMTP email setups, API integrations, and basic cybersecurity
- Able to handle basic copywriting, graphic design, and asset sourcing for web projects
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willing to ask questions, learn, and adapt
Interested candidates are required to submit a portfolio, case studies, or samples of past work as part of the application.
