Safety Health and Environment Coach

Degree or higher qualification in Engineering, HSE, or a related field

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in Malaysia
• HRDF and NIOSH Train-The-Trainer (TTT) certification
• Proven experience and a track record in coaching safety practices
• Recognized SSHE certificates (e.g., DOSH, DOE, NEBOSH, ISO)
• Coach employees and contractors on SSHE responsibilities and safe work practices
• Promote a positive safety culture through daily engagement, encouragement, and motivation
• Conduct on-site coaching to ensure safe behaviors and support company safety values
• Develop and run coaching programs to improve safety awareness, especially offshore
• Help teams create and review Job Safety Analyses (JSA), Risk Assessments (RA) and Work Packs
• Share safety lessons and industry bulletins to increase learning from incidents
• Carry out daily safety inspections and correct any unsafe conditions or non-compliance
• Support and lead safety campaigns, toolbox talks, workshops, and awareness events
• Encourage workers to speak up and intervene when they see unsafe actions or conditions
• Be present and approachable at the worksite ("Line of Sight") to support teams directly
• Deliver coaching on Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) and Human Performance Improvement (HPI)
• Support continuous improvement of the HSE Management System (HSEMS)
• Help train and brief workers and contractors before shutdowns, turnarounds, or key site activities
• Monitor changes in behavior and safety performance and suggest improvements
