Ampang Jaya - Production Manager (Building Materials/Construction)

Job Overview:

• The Production Manager oversees all aspects of PVC product manufacturing. This role requires effective coordination with various departments to ensure timely production and delivery while maintaining safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in production management, strong leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Oversight:

• Manage the entire production process for PVC products to ensure quality and efficiency. Liaise with the office to coordinate scheduling and delivery.

1. Staff Management:

• Supervise staff members by shift, ensuring adequate coverage and performance.
• Involved in the selection and training of factory personnel.
• Ensure staff safety during shift work and promote a culture of safety in the workplace.

1. Quality Assurance:

• Ensure all products meet company standards and specifications.
• Report any production issues or concerns to management promptly.

1. Inventory and Maintenance:

• Oversee the stocks of raw materials, ensuring availability for production needs.
• Maintain machinery daily and organize a yearly shutdown maintenance schedule.
• Establish and manage a maintenance logbook and spare parts inventory.

1. Logistics:

• Coordinate the loading and unloading of containers and deliveries, ensuring accuracy and order.
• Maintain cleanliness in the production area and around machinery.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or another equivalent
• At least 5 years’ experience in a related field, preferably in production management.

Competencies & Skills:

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficient in standard office equipment (computers, telephones, etc.).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Positive, proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
