Your future employer is a local contractor based in KL specializing in design & construction for water treatment plants. They are an established construction company that has healthy pipeline of projects. They are now looking to grow extensively and is currently seeking the right talent to join their team.
about the job- Plan, organize, lead, and manage the department's daily operations, focusing on technical design, engineering, development, construction, and installation of civil and structural works for project execution and tender submissions when needed.
- Supervise and ensure staff perform their duties effectively, providing ongoing training and on-the-job learning as required.
- Oversee and review the preparation, compilation, and submission of civil and structural design documents and drawings for approval by clients or consultants.
- Stay well-versed with contract documents, including conditions, scope, specifications, and project schedules for assigned contracts.
- Coordinate with government authorities, consultants, clients, contractors, suppliers, and principals to ensure compliance with regulations, guidelines, and technical design and specification requirements.
- Supervise subordinates and subcontractors at project sites to ensure efficient execution of civil and structural work.
- Assist in negotiating favorable pricing and terms for major materials and subcontracted work for assigned contracts.
- Support the Proposal Department with tender bidding activities as needed.
- Perform tasks as assigned by the immediate superior or management.
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
- Candidates with PE certification will have advantage
- Minimum 8-10 years experience in design of concrete & steel structures for water treament plants
- Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills
- Able to review and suggest solutions to technical issues at the construction site
