About the role:
You will be responsible of establishing successful relationships with clients, taking the ownership of enhancing the profitability of the business line in agreement with wider company goals and strategy.
You will be responsible for managing Kitchen Retail distributors in Northern Ireland and in the Dublin area
You will report to the Country Sales Manager for Ireland.
Location
The role can be based either in Dublin, as a preferred option, or in Belfast. 50-60% will be spent travelling to visit clients.
What you’ll do:
- Executing the channel strategy by brand, working with the customer to identify sales opportunities and ensure category sales targets are met including Volume and Net Sales, market share & profitability in line with sales team KPIs.
- Developing and building strong relationships at all levels within the customer.
- Manage annual terms negotiations and building business plans accordingly to capitalise on sales opportunities.
- Ensure monthly business plans are in place to execute and achieve/exceed the agreed targets.
- Plan marketing and sales promotion activities with the customers and marketing manager, collaborating across the commercial triangle (Sales, Marketing & Product Line) and brief the Regional Account team to ensure full alignment to deliver effective omni channel strategies within the customer.
- Analysing sales trends, promotions, seasonality and NPD launches to accurately budget and forecast retailer volumes to maximise product availability and optimise business planning.
- Monitor KPI, sales performance, insights, and trends, providing reporting and analysis and presenting reports every week on key customer metrics, to aid commercial decision making, along with ensuring all data requirements for sales accounts are met.
- Presenting New Product Development and executing best in class product launches to excite our retailers and consumers to drive sales.
Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferably in Business Administration, Management, or a related field)
- Proven experience as a National Account Manager within a commercial, consumer goods company (experience in managing distributors would be a significant asset)
- Experienced in managing Head Office stakeholders
- Strong business acumen, business analysis and numerical interpretation
- Able to build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Open, ambitious, and keen to grow by learning and development
