About the Role
The Manager, Communications will be responsible for managing and executing internal and external communication strategies to enhance the company's reputation, engage employees, and effectively communicate with external stakeholders. This role requires a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal Communication:
- Develop and implement internal communication plans to ensure consistent and effective messaging across the organization.
- Create and distribute internal newsletters, memos, and announcements to keep employees informed about company updates, initiatives, and events.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to support employee engagement activities and organizational culture initiatives.
- Manage internal communication channels, including intranet, email, and internal social media platforms.
- Organize and facilitate internal communication sessions including but not limited to town hall meetings and employee forums.
External Communication:
- Develop and execute external communication strategies to enhance the company's public image and reputation.
- Create and manage press releases, media kits, and other external communication materials.
- Build and maintain relationships with media, industry influencers, and other external stakeholders.
- Monitor and respond to media inquiries and manage crisis communication when necessary.
- Coordinate and support external events, including conferences, trade shows, and community outreach programs.
- Support communication initiatives for AIA Digital+ Philippines as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a similar role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, including social media, intranet, and email marketing software.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in crisis communication and media relations.
- Knowledge of internal communication best practices and employee engagement strategies.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
