Production Control Manager - Food Industry (ST)
Bachelor’s degree in food processing or culinary science, or equivalent qualifications, and have at least five years’ practical experience in a supervisory role
Ability to quickly grasp the nature of the role
Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office
Must be well-versed in Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) and Halal requirements.
Practical knowledge of lean manufacturing and the optimization of machinery and equipment lifecycles is desirable
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in data analysis and the use of performance indicators related to food production.
Direct and supervise personnel, materials, quality and daily production output within the production department
Analyze factual data and/or reasonable assumptions, taking into account resources, constraints and organizational values, to establish and commit to the strategic direction set by senior management for achieving long-term goals and objectives
Break down production strategies and business initiatives into key tasks, clarify areas of responsibility by aligning communication, people, culture, processes, resources and systems, and ensure effective implementation and the achievement of intended results
Understand and utilize economic, financial and industry data to accurately diagnose production strengths and weaknesses, identify key challenges, and formulate strategies and plans
Meet internal and external customer satisfaction requirements and achieve the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set by management.
Direct and coordinate overall production activities by utilizing resources effectively to maximize output at minimum cost, whilst maintaining defined quality levels and meeting forecast requirements
Manage and control budgets, plans and program, and make optimal use of available equipment, resources and labour to achieve production targets.
Continuously improve methods, efficiency and resource utilization, whilst critically reviewing and monitoring production results
Other related duties and tasks deemed appropriate by senior management in relation to the achievement of departmental/plant KPIs.
Clearly articulate a vision of the future and passionately promote production and strategic objectives by helping others understand and appreciate how circumstances will change once this vision is realized.
Foster a sense of ownership regarding issues affecting the entire organization through appropriate delegation of authority and encourage individuals to take on challenges that push beyond their current capabilities.- Annual Leave
