Fashion Designer

We are a company specializing in traditional menswear. We are looking for a designer with at least five years of experience in menswear design, especially in the field of traditional menswear（eg. Baju Teluk Belanga / Baju Cekak Musang/Kain Pelikat / Batik Sarong/Batik.

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience, a portfolio of past works is required.

Understanding garment structure (e.g., shoulder lines, darts, pleats, etc.)

Preparing detailed tech packs, including flat sketches, measurement specs, construction notes, material lists, and color codes

• Communication and Delivery Skills

Effectively communicating design intent with pattern makers, sample makers, and factories

Delivering design documents to sampling and production teams on time

• Lead the full design process from concept to pre-sample, including inspiration research, style development, fabric selection, and preparation of complete tech packs for sampling.
• Conduct trend analysis, market research, and consumer insight gathering to ensure the designs align with seasonal trends and brand direction.
• Create detailed technical sketches and fashion illustrations using design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator) to clearly communicate every aspect of the garment.
• Source and select fabrics, trims, and accessories according to the design vision, budget, and production feasibility.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive tech packs, including measurement specs, materials lists, construction details, and colorways, to support accurate sample development.
• Work closely with pattern makers, sample makers, and factories to ensure the design intent is fully understood and implemented in the sampling stage.
• Handle sample revisions and feedback efficiently, maintaining product quality and alignment with brand standards.
• Assist in sourcing and identifying trending or best-selling styles, supporting fast product development and market responsiveness.
• Communicate fluently in English with internal teams and external vendors or factories to ensure smooth workflow.

Additional Notes & Preferred Qualifications:

• Part-time designers are welcome: Remote work is accepted, and payment will be made per approved style submitted.
• Candidates with experience at well-known fashion brands will be given priority.
• Designers with business negotiation skills or client resources are preferred. Additional commission will be offered for successful order acquisition.
