Mandatory Qualifications
  • Academic Background: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mass Communications, Creative Media, or a related field.
  • Availability: Able to commit to a full-time internship for 3 to 6 months.
  • Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of computer hardware, Windows/OS environments, and local networking concepts (WiFi/LAN).
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and write clear social media copy.
Mandatory Tools
  • Productivity: Google Workspace or Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Design & Video: Canva or basic video editing applications (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Premiere) for creating quick social graphics and event reels.
  • Social Media Platforms: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok business/creator suites.

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and tech-savvy IT Support & Social Media Intern for a 3 to 6-month duration. This hybrid role is perfect for a student or recent graduate eager to gain hands-on experience in basic IT network management, Audio-Visual (AV) event support, and digital content creation.

You will report to the Senior IT staff and the Marketing lead.

Key Responsibilities

AV & Event Support
  • Setup, configure, and operate interactive panels, projectors, and sound systems.
  • Manage microphones and video conferencing gear for meetings and events .
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during live training sessions .
  • Provide on-the-spot technical support by remaining present during events .
Equipment Maintenance & Inventory
  • Maintain, clean, and inspect AV equipment, cabling, and connectors .
  • Perform routine maintenance like updating firmware, software, and replacing consumables .
  • Prepare and test equipment thoroughly before scheduled room bookings .
  • Keep an accurate inventory of hardware, adapters, cables, and remotes .
Network & System Administration
  • Monitor and maintain connectivity for both WiFi and LAN networks .
  • Diagnose and resolve network issues within the training and experience centre .
  • Manage user accounts and adjust device permissions as required .
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff when necessary .
Social Media & Content Management
  • Create, schedule, and publish exactly 3 high-quality social media postings per week across active platforms.
  • Promote training centre events, technology demos, and facilities online.
  • Draft engaging copy and capture photos or short videos of the centre.
  • Monitor online engagement by checking comments and messages weekly.
Client Support & Documentation
  • Support technology demonstrations for prospective clients and visitors .
  • Document technical resolutions and update internal troubleshooting guides .
  • Write simple user guides detailing how to connect devices to panels .
  • Hands-on experience with AV & presentation technology in a live event / meeting / customer-facing environment.
  • Exposure to interactive panel / projector technologies and their setup / calibration.
  • Practical troubleshooting skills: hardware, software, network for live events.
  • Documentation, process development, customer service skills.
  • Working as part of a team, interacting with multiple stakeholders (clients, event organisers, staff).
  • Potential for future employment if performance is good.
