Academic Qualifications: Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Business, Finance, Banking, Accounting, IT or equivalent. Candidate must obtain 5 credits in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) for subjects including Bahasa Melayu, English and Mathematics.

  • Experience: At least 2 year of working experience, preferably with a demonstrated ability in data management and insurance knowledge
  • The role is a contract position for 2 years.

  • Overall Project Management:
  • Collaborate with JTK to execute ITSR project development/ enhancement according to the established project scope, timeline and cost.
  • Establish engagements with internal and external stakeholders (e.g Industrial Engagement) to gain insights of challenges/issues faces by users and Insurance and Takaful Operators (ITO) relating the project implementation and administrator execution of initiatives to overcome the challenges.
  • Provide timely updates for Statistical Information Steering Committee (SISCO) on the project progress and challenges.
  • Perform research, benchmarking and keep abreast with latest developments in the Bank, in other industry in relation to best practices in development of statistical systems and management of system issues; assess the impact and relevance to the statistical systems, and if necessary, make recommendations for system enhancement and process improvement.
  • Business:
  • Establish comprehensive business and functional requirements in accordance with statutory and stakeholders’ requirements and international, national, and industry wide compilation/ dissemination standards and methodologies.
  • Facilitate ITOs to understand and meet regulatory reporting requirements, as mandated in the relevant acts and guidelines, in accordance with stipulated deadlines, by effective communication, clarifications and guidance to ensure reporting integrity via training materials or engagements with ITOs.
  • Identify weaknesses in existing systems that affect the data management operations and make recommendations to improve process efficiency and effectiveness in the new system.
  • Prepare UAT related materials (i.e test plan, test scripts, test cases) and conduct comprehensive system testing to ensure all business and functional requirements are properly incorporated and that the system can meet user requirements in an efficient manner.
  • Develop clear and comprehensive policy documents, reporting and operational procedures, and guidelines to document the latest reporting requirements and data management operations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of data by ITOs in accordance with international, national and bank-wide statistical standards and compliance requirements during the transition period.
  • Engage various stakeholders covering key users, ITOs and Data Exchange Partners (DEP) covering industrial briefing/training workshops facilitate smooth implementation.
  • Keep abreast with the latest developments on international and national statistical standard and significant developments affecting best practices in data compilation and continuously review current practices for improvement opportunities.
  • Collect and compile data from ITOs in accordance with international, national, and industry-wide reporting standards and compliance requirements (EDG, ISMP etc.).
