Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, is partnering with an organisation in the Industrial sector to hire a Sales Executive. This opportunity is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, supporting construction and project‑based sales activities for a diversified global leader in high‑performance building materials.

Position Overview

This role is responsible for driving sales growth through key account penetration and active business development within the building materials segment.

It has a direct impact on revenue performance, project pipeline development, and market expansion in the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and expand relationships with dealers, fabricators, contractors, and other related industry players for specific products
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records in Salesforce CRM, including project records, customer data, and daily visit reports
  • Develop a strong project pipeline within the Kuala Lumpur region
  • Proactively hunt for new leads and create new business opportunities
  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive sales growth
  • Work closely with distributors to win project specifications and drive product adoption
  • Gather and analyse market trends, competitor activities, and industry changes
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, provide technical support, and handle product claims to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Meet and exceed individual and group KPIs

Key Requirements

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in construction project sales or surfacing materials such as laminates, wallpapers, or carpets
Technical / Functional Expertise
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience using CRM systems, particularly Salesforce
  • Ability to confidently present products to clients
Soft Skills & Leadership Competencies
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and Mandarin
  • Strong ability to achieve sales targets with minimal supervision
  • Strong relationship‑building and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel outstation when required
