Sales Designer
As an Sales Designer, you will play a key role in shaping the design and aesthetics of our commercial and residential projects. This is a full-time position based in Kuala Lumpur, where you will collaborate with our talented team to create stunning, functional and innovative interiors that exceed our clients' expectations.
What you'll be doing
Conceptualising and developing interior design plans and solutions that meet the client's requirements and brand vision
Preparing detailed design drawings, specifications, and project timelines
Selecting and sourcing appropriate materials, furniture, fixtures, and equipment
Managing the implementation of interior design projects from start to finish
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including architects, project managers, and contractors
Conducting site visits and monitoring project progress to ensure quality and timely delivery
Staying up-to-date with the latest interior design trends, materials, and technologies
What we're looking for- Education & Background
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
- Internship or freelance experience is a bonus
- Technical Skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering tools (e.g. V-Ray)
- Able to use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office
- Basic understanding of materials, finishes, and construction methods
- Design Capability
- Strong sense of space planning, color coordination, and design trends
- Ability to prepare mood boards, design presentations, and technical drawings
- Soft Skills
- Good communication and teamwork
- Responsible, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Willingness to learn and take feedback
- Language
- English communication skills are preferred (Mandarin and Malay is a plus)
- Availability
- Open to full time work, flexible with working hours or site visits if needed
Sales & Client Engagement
-Actively generate leads through networking, referrals, and company-provided channels.- Meet with potential clients to understand their renovation/design needs and budget.
- Prepare and present design proposals, mood boards, and quotations to clients.
- Negotiate and close sales deals while maintaining profitability targets.
-Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Design & Consultation- Provide creative design solutions tailored to client requirements, lifestyle, and budget.
- Translate client needs into functional space planning, material selection, and concept design.
- Work closely with design team/contractors to ensure proposed ideas are feasible and within scope.
- Collaborate with the operations/installation team to ensure smooth project execution.
- Attend site visits when necessary to align design and client expectations.
- Manage changes/variations requested by clients and update proposals/quotations accordingly.
- Track sales pipeline, conversion rate, and revenue performance.
- Prepare and submit weekly sales and progress reports to management.
- Ensure proper documentation of client contracts, quotations, and design approvals.
