Senior Python Backend Developer
MDvelop Technology Sdn Bhd Kuala Lumpur Full-time
We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Backend Developer to join our growing tech team. You will be responsible for building and optimizing scalable backend systems, APIs, and microservices to support high-performance applications. Candidates with experience or interest in Large Language Models (LLMs) or generative AI will be highly preferred.
Requirements:-- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 1-3 years of backend development experience using Python
- Proficient in one or more Python frameworks (Django, FastAPI, Flask)
- Strong knowledge of API design, authentication, and security best practices
- Experience with Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) is a plus
- (Bonus) Knowledge or hands-on experience with LLMs such as OpenAI, LangChain, etc.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Python (Django/FastAPI/Flask)
- Develop and integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs
- Work closely with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices
- Design and implement database schemas and optimize queries (PostgreSQL/MySQL/NoSQL)
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers
- Troubleshoot performance and scalability issues
- (Bonus) Integrate and fine-tune LLMs or AI-related backend features
