A global technology solutions provider serving the electronics and semiconductor industries is seeking a Senior Field Application Engineer (FAE) to act as the technical bridge between customers, sales teams, and internal engineering functions.
This role provides pre‑sales and post‑sales technical support, drives successful product design‑in and implementation, and builds long‑term customer trust through strong application knowledge and hands‑on problem solving. The FAE plays a critical role in troubleshooting, customer enablement, RFQ support, and market intelligence, supporting customers across fast‑paced manufacturing and fab environments.
Key Responsibilities- Provide pre‑sales and post‑sales technical support, including on‑site troubleshooting, installation, and setup.
- Support product qualification, NPI, and production ramp‑up, working closely with customer engineering teams.
- Deliver application engineering support for circuit/PCB design, EMC/EMI, and compliance testing.
- Perform basic debugging, yield analysis, and failure analysis to resolve customer issues and secure design‑in.
- Collaborate with sales on RFQs, technical proposals, customer visits, and product training, while identifying upsell opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal engineering, manufacturing, and HQ teams on debugging, corrective actions, and issue resolution.
- Gather customer feedback, stay current on industry trends, and provide market intelligence and technical reports to HQ.
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience as an Application Engineer or Field Application Engineer.
- Experience in electronics applications, PCB / circuit design, EMC/EMI, and magnetic components is highly preferred.
- Experience supporting semiconductor customers (OSATs, foundries, IDMs) is a strong advantage.
- Exposure to wafer probe / wafer sort / wafer test processes is preferred.
- Familiarity with probe cards (Cantilever, Vertical, MEMS) and WLT / WFT flows is a plus.
- Comfortable working in cleanroom, fab, and OSAT environments.
- Strong coordination skills across sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
