Physiotherapist

Job Descriptions:

1. Physiotherapy Resident Therapy:

• Provide physiotherapy treatment to all residents, with or without a therapy package.
• Assess and treat patients with a focus on improving mobility, reducing pain and enhancing overall quality of life.

1. Activity Management:

• Take charge of daily activities, ensuring they are aligned with residents’ therapeutic.
• Plan and lead group therapy sessions and exercise programs.

1. Leadership and Collaboration:

• Lead and support clinical staff in delivering quality care.
• Work closely with the Clinical and Assistant Manager to address the welfare of residents.

1. Resident Assessments:

• Conduct initial assessments for new residents, focusing on fall risk and other health concerns.
• Regularly re-assess residents to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.

1. Package Conversion:

• Identify residents who would benefit from therapy packages and successfully convert them to these packages.

1. Physiotherapy Resident Therapy:

• Provide physiotherapy treatment to all residents, with or without a therapy package.

1. Family Communication:

• Provide timely reports to residents’ families through Whatsapp or other apps, keeping them informed of their loved ones’ progress and needs

1. Resident Wellbeing:

• Ensure the overall wellbeing of residents by maintaining high standards of care and regular monitoring.

1. Annual and Special Activities:

• Contribute to and participate in annual activities and family events, incorporating therapeutic aspects as per company’s yearly plan.

1. Promotion and Marketing:

• Promote the importance of rehabilitation and physiotherapy to the elderly in a timely manner.
• Market and find clients for home-based physiotherapy services.

1. Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with the clinical team to identify residents’ needs and determine how physiotherapy can enhance their wellbeing.
• Support the clinical team in delivering comprehensive care

Job requirement:

• A bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physiotherapist, preferably in a similar nursing / healthcare setting.
• Strong clinical skills and expertise in a range of physiotherapy techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.
• A compassionate and patient-centred approach to patient care.
• Registration with the Malaysian Physiotherapy Association (MPA) or other relevant professional bodies.
