Photo and Video Specialist
We are looking for a highly capable Photo and Video Specialist who can translate creative briefs into compelling visual output that meets commercial standards. This role requires someone with strong technical production skills, creative problem-solving ability, and a high level of ownership in delivering quality work for market-leading clients in Malaysia.
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality commercial photography output
Produce strong, visually appealing photography that meets campaign, branding, and content objectives. Apply appropriate photographic techniques, equipment, and post-production tools to ensure each final image is polished, on-brand, and fit for client use.
- Deliver end-to-end video production from concept to final output
Create engaging video content such as promotional social videos, brand profiling videos, live videos and event documentaries by managing the full production process effectively. This includes:
Planning: Develop scripts, storyboards, budgets, schedules and resource plans that ensure a smooth production workflow.Pre-production: Secure suitable locations, crew, talent, props and equipment to support the creative direction and production needs.
Production: Execute shoots efficiently according to storyboard, timeline and production requirements while maintaining output quality.
Post-production: Organise raw footage, edit video and audio, incorporate graphics and motion elements, add music, voice-over or sound effects, and maintain a structured video library for future use.
- Execute projects independently or collaboratively based on project scale
Manage smaller productions independently and contribute effectively within a team for larger-scale productions, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and to the required standard.
Secondary Responsibilities- Translate briefs into strong creative solutions
Interpret client and internal briefs accurately, and propose creative, relevant and effective visual solutions that deliver against communication objectives. Support account servicing teams in presenting and articulating ideas clearly to clients.
- Work effectively with internal creative stakeholders
- Maintain studio, equipment and props in operational condition
- Drive continuous improvement through innovation and industry awareness
- Build and leverage production resources and freelancer networks
Maintain a reliable network of external freelancers and production partners across different stages of the production process to support project delivery when needed.
Job Requirements- At least 2 years of working experience in a relevant agency is required.
- Strong understanding of social media content formats, trends, and platform best practices across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and short-form video platforms.
- Ability to communicate well in English and/or Bahasa Malaysia.
- Proficient in Adobe software, especially Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and After Effects.
- Ability to produce short-form video content and utilise video editing applications such as CapCut, Edits, and TikTok-native editing tools is a bonus.
- Well-versed in popular culture locally and internationally, including viral trends, current happenings, topical content, and the entertainment scene in general.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate and polished work.
- Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
- Flexible and agile in adapting to changing client requirements and project needs.
