Minimum Qualifications
- Candidates must hold a and Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from a recognised university.
- Candidates must hold a Doctorate (PhD) and Master’s in Pharmacy Practice/Clinical Pharmacy from a recognised university.

Minimum Competencies
Particularly in a higher education context, typically encompass a blend of academic qualifications, teaching abilities, research skills, and personal attributes that enable effective education delivery, student engagement, and contributions to the academic community.Prior experience in teaching and research in the higher education sector is an added advantage.
Other Requirements- Candidates must possess a strong foundation and knowledge in Pharmacy Practice / Clinical Pharmacy.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- A strong track record of published research and participation in the academic community is highly desirable.
- All candidates must have obtained:
- Credits in Bahasa Malaysia and English language (including oral examination) at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level OR equivalent qualification recognised by the Government (for Malaysian citizens).
- IELTS Band 6 / MUET Band 4.
- Candidate without any of these qualifications will be required to sit for the IIUM English Language Proficiency Test.
- Curriculum Development: Design and update comprehensive Pharmacy Practice/Clinical Pharmacy courses that reflect the latest industry trends and academic standards.
- Teaching Excellence: Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions across a variety of Pharmacy Practice subjects, incorporating cutting-edge technologies and software.
- Student Assessment: Create and evaluate examinations, assignments, and projects to gauge student knowledge and skills, providing constructive feedback.
- Research Contribution: Participate in research and publication activities in the Pharmacy Practice field (if applicable).
- Professional Development: Remain current with technological advancements and pedagogical strategies through continued education and active participation in academic communities.
- Community and Industry Engagement: Collaborate with industry experts to ensure curriculum relevance and foster opportunities for student placements.
- Mentorship: Offer academic advice and personal mentorship to students, guiding them towards academic and professional success.
