Senior Business Development Executive – Events, Programs & Accreditation

Role Overview:

The Senior Business Development Executive will play a pivotal role in growing Xsolla Curine Academy’s commercial and institutional presence. The core focus areas include:

  • Monetizing XCA’s 15,000 sqft event space
  • Increasing student enrolments through active sales support
  • Managing strategic engagements with accreditation bodies and government-linked agencies
  • This role is instrumental to XCA’s long-term revenue and credibility-building efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

 A.  Event Space Commercialization
  • Promote and manage rental of XCA facilities, including the 100+ pax auditorium and 70-seat computer labs
  • Develop and refine rental packages with add-ons (AV, refreshments, tech support, etc.)
  • Secure partnership deals with external event organizers, corporates, training providers, and NGOs
  • Oversee booking logistics, scheduling, usage documentation, and post-event feedback
  • Maintain a professional marketing kit showcasing key events (e.g., Growth Charger, Sui Initiative, ESG Workshop)
 B.  Program Sales & Student Lead Management
  • Drive enrollment for diploma programs, short courses, and workshops
  • Engage walk-in visitors, event attendees, and school outreach participants to qualify leads
  • Work closely with the marketing team on campaign execution and lead tracking tools
  • Support corporate outreach for bulk training or upskilling opportunities
 C.  Accreditation & Government Engagement
  • Manage proactive communication with MQA (Malaysia Qualifications Agency), JPK, MDEC (Digital initiatives & MD status), Yayasan Peneraju (Grants, sponsorships), Ministry and university partners
  • Coordinate documentation, submissions, and meeting follow-ups for certification/grant processes
  • Identify new funding opportunities or recognition schemes that can enhance student pathways
 D.  Internal Collaboration & Reporting
  • Maintain CRM to track space leads, partner engagement, and enrollment conversion
  • Produce monthly reports on event occupancy, revenue targets, and BD pipeline metrics
  • Collaborate across academic, marketing, and admin teams for seamless execution of events and programs

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 3–6 years in business development, partnerships, or event/commercial sales
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience in education, training, or public sector engagement is a plus
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and reporting tools (e.g., Google Sheets, Notion, HubSpot)
  • Ability to work independently, meet targets, and represent the brand externally

Compensation & Incentives:

Incentives: Performance bonus + commission structure available based on revenue targets

Annual Target Example: RM650K in revenue = RM32.5K bonus (5%)
