We are currently seeking a driven professional to join us as a Strategic Bid Manager

The Strategic Bid Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end bidding process for contract opportunities: reviewing incoming bids with the Director, Bid Management; assigning value and strategy; ensuring process governance; distributing items to the Bid Sourcing and Pricing teams; ensuring packages are priced competitively and reviewed for completeness before delivery to the customer.

This role will be aligned to the APAC region, with a focus on key markets including China, South Korea, and Japan. It reports directly to the Director of Strategic Bid Management, who is based in the UK. The Bid Manager will also be responsible for managing a Data Analyst located in Malaysia to support data driven components of the bid process and will work closely with our Sourcing team.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end process for all contract bids.
  • Ensure bids meet customer needs and align with Incora's goals and values.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop bid strategies and review ongoing priorities.
  • Manage a Data Analyst based in Malaysia to support bid development through effective data analysis, interpretation, and management.
  • Be self-sufficient to analyze bid data and strategies to optimize pricing and ensure competitiveness in the market.
  • Conduct independent analysis to develop compelling business cases, demonstrating strong financial acumen and proficiency in intermediate to advanced data analysis.
  • Coordinate bid tasks with relevant business units (e.g., sales, purchasing, finance).
  • Oversee the pricing strategy, ensuring bids reflect optimal pricing based on market analysis and customer requirements.
  • Ensure contract bids comply with customer specifications and obtain internal approvals.
  • Monitor and report on contract profitability and financial performance for on-going business cases
  • Assist in coordinating the transition of new contracts to the Implementation Team.
  • Track and report on bid status and business KPIs for accurate updates.
Requirements
  • Mandarin speaking required, due to regular interaction and close working relationship with the Sales team in China.
  • High-level command of English, both verbal and written.
  • Degree level education in Business, Management, Analytics, Maths, or similar.
  • Significant experience in a similar role within a supply chain environment, background in aerospace will be additional advantage.
  • Experience with running commercial bids / pricing and working with suppliers.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess opportunities, support strategy development, and contribute to business case analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, comfortable using pivot tables, vlookups, and working with large data sets to interpret and extract insights.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on data integrity and meaningful insights.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a diverse, regionally distributed team.
  • Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation, with the ability to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision.
