SUMMARY: Supply Chain Resilience Engineer
Strengthen the collaboration with suppliers in Mexico to ensure supply continuityESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive Supply Continuity through Capacity Risk Mitigation: Lead the proactive identification and resolution of supplier capacity constraints to ensure uninterrupted operations. This includes: o Capacity Assessment: Conduct in-depth evaluations of supplier production
capabilities and limitations to establish a clear understanding of operational
readiness.o Root Cause Identification: Apply lean and continuous improvement principles to identify underlying constraints—such as equipment limitations, labor shortages, or supply chain bottlenecks—that impact a supplier's ability to meet demand.
o Planning Alignment: Review and refine planning parameters to ensure they
accurately reflect current supplier performance and capacity realities.o Strategic Action Planning: Develop and implement targeted, data-driven action plans with clearly defined steps, ownership, and timelines to resolve identified gaps.
o Supplier Partnership & Engagement: Collaborate closely with suppliers to align on priorities, drive accountability, and support the execution of capacity improvement initiatives Ongoing Monitoring & Adaptation: Establish mechanisms for continuous tracking of progress and quickly pivot as needed to ensure sustainable improvements and supply stability.
- Supplier Engagement & Field Execution:
o Facilitate cross-functional discussions during site visits to drive collaborative
problem-solving and performance improvement.
- Data-Driven Performance Management:
o Prepare comprehensive supplier visit reports and executive-level dashboards to inform internal stakeholders and guide strategic sourcing decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- University degree (Industrial Engineering preferred)
- Good working knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Purchasing experience is a plus
- Ability to travel, approx. 60% within Mexico and the US
- 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Quality or Purchasing, in a multinational
- Ability to interact internally and externally at different organizational levels
- Be comfortably operating in shopfloor environment at supplier
- Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Tools and Techniques (VSM, TPM, OEE, 5S,
- Basic knowledge in Quality and material flow
- Proficient in digital communication
- Ability to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment
- Work efficiently and proactively to deliver results
