The Opportunity
Our client is a well-established finance and automotive brokerage that delivers tailored financial solutions to individuals and businesses across Australia. With a strong commitment to transparency, personalized service, and long-term support, they guide clients through every stage of the lending process—from application to settlement and beyond.
They are now seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to support the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This role will focus on core accounting activities such as bank reconciliation, journal entries, balance sheet management, and financial reporting.
ASW Global operates on a Hybrid model. During the first 3 months, you will be required to work full-time onsite. After this period, the role will transition to a hybrid model, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, with a regular shift schedule of 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM Manila time.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliation across multiple business entities.
- Process and reconcile fortnightly payroll, ensuring accuracy and legislative compliance.
- Manage month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Handle end-to-end accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice management and follow-ups.
- Support the preparation of BAS and other compliance documentation related to GST, PAYG, and payroll.
- Ensure system integration across Xero, EasyCars, and Zoho CRM runs smoothly; troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Assist with year-end audit preparation and documentation for external auditors.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support ad-hoc financial analysis or reporting projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in a similar General Accounting role, ideally within finance or automotive industries.
- Strong background in core accounting functions, including bank reconciliation, journal entries, and balance sheet management.
- Proficiency in Xero is essential, but other Accounting tools are accepted.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
