PREPARATION & LOADING ITEMS
- Lorry Attendant need to refer DO from the Logistics staff, finds and places the items in the yellow compartment provided.
- Lorry Attendant has a high cooperative attitude when loading the items.
- Lorry Attendant has to clean the loading area before & after loading the items.
- Lorry Attendant must assist lorry driver , to check the DO and unload the items together, TEAMWORK.
- Lorry Attendant must ensure that all items delivered to the customer are correct, accurate and clean.
- Lorry Attendant must ensure that the customer checks the items, company stamp and signature on the DO to avoid disputes.
- Ensuring vehicles are mechanically sound and legally roadworthy
- Performing basic repairs and maintenance in the event of accident or breakdown while in transit
- Safely securing heavy loads and large goods for transport
- Organising the most efficient route from pickup point to drop off point
- Keeping informed of road closures, accidents and traffic diversions
- Organising multiple drop-offs and deliveries in each working day
- Supervising and assisting with the loading and unloading of deliveries into the lorry
- Complying with all MOT and in-house regulations and rules
