Work you’ll do

Software Asset Lifecycle Management:

  • Oversee the entire software asset lifecycle, from acquisition and deployment to retirement or disposal.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and mitigate potential risks.

Vendor Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with software vendors to negotiate favorable licensing agreements and stay informed about product roadmaps and changes.
  • Provide recommendations for software procurement and support negotiations to optimize costs.

Policy and Process Development:

  • Create and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for software asset management.
  • Work closely with clients to align software asset management processes with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

License Optimization:

  • Analyze software usage data to identify opportunities for license optimization and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with clients to design and implement strategies to optimize software license utilization.

Risk Management:

  • Assess and mitigate legal and financial risks associated with software license non-compliance.
  • Provide guidance on risk mitigation strategies and support clients during software license audits.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Generate and maintain accurate and up-to-date reports on software assets, usage, and compliance.
  • Create comprehensive documentation to support software asset management processes and decisions.

Client Collaboration:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing guidance on software asset management best practices and strategies.
  • Collaborate with other advisory teams to integrate software asset management into broader technology and business initiatives.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of software licensing models, compliance, and industry best practices.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Experience with software asset management tools and technologies.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., SAM, ITIL, ISO 19770) are a plus.
