A newly created Sales and Business Development Director position has just been made available with a growing global education provider. This role is a fully remote position to be based in Malaysia, however require 50% travelling as it's a regional role.

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales and Business Development Director (Education) to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with universities around the world, helping them increase their quality and scale, and connecting more students to the education they need and deserve.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the successful implementation, scale and client and student satisfaction of academic benefits at partner institutions across Europe and Asia Pacific region.

What you'll do:

As a Sales and Business Development Director (Education) , you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of education across the globe. Your primary responsibility will be to drive the successful implementation, scale, and satisfaction of academic benefits at partner institutions.

You will develop strategic plans, coordinate with academic teams, implement go-to-market strategies, manage student journeys, promote new opportunities, and handle escalations. This role requires a high level of collaboration, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Act as main point of contact for partner coordination of academic benefits in the region
  • Develop strategic plans in coordination with partner institutions
  • Coordinate with academic team on deployment of content, experiences and collaborations at each partner institution
  • Implement go-to-market strategies and commercialisation of pathway programs
  • Manage student journey for pathway students across multiple cross-functional leads at each institution
  • Organise and lead steering committee meetings to engage various stakeholders
  • Promote new opportunities to partners and students
  • Manage escalations and coordinate resolution of issues

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Sales and Business Development Director (Education) position brings a wealth of experience in client management, product/project management, and academic program operations. You have a proven track record in product management or client management and are comfortable working with international team members.

Your knowledge of global higher education academic articulations or Dual Degree programs sets you apart from others. With excellent communication skills, you are adept at managing projects, people, stakeholders, and financial analysis. Bi- or multi-lingual communication skills will be a significant advantage in this role.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related discipline AND ten (10) years of related experience specifically in client management, product/project management
  • Experience in academic program operations
  • Experience in business development and marketing
  • Masters’ qualification or higher preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of successful product management or client management
  • Experience living, working or travelling abroad and comfortable working with international team members.
  • Knowledge of global higher education academic articulations or Dual Degree programs.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong in project management, people management, stakeholder management and financial analysis.
  • Bi- or multi-lingual communication skills.
