Account Executive - Kuala Lumpur

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.

Experience

2–5 years of accounting or finance experience (preferably in the NGO or services sector).

Experience using accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, or similar systems).

Technical Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.

• Issue debit/credit notes, payment vouchers, and process payments.
• Obtain cheque signatories and reconcile supplier statements.
• Issue invoices, track collections, and maintain membership records.
• Reconcile AR accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Update journal entries and assist in preparing the report.
• Ensure accurate recording of transactions and reconcile AR records with bank deposits.
• Perform bank reconciliations and process monthly petty cash claims.
• Manage cash flow and update the Account Manager on cash status.
• Prepare monthly management reports and maintain records of prepayments and accruals.
• Assist to liaise with auditor documentation and ensure proper filing of accounting documents.
• Handle ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Account Manager.
