JOB PURPOSE

Analyse, execute, facilitate and mitigate the tasks of industrial and employee related matters in compliance with Malaysian laws and statutory requirements by implementing industrial relations functions such as managing disciplinary process, handling employee grievances, promoting a culture of integrity and professionalism and addressing employee wellness, as well as fostering employee relations to ensure a continuous pool of talents that have a harmonious industrial relation with the university in support of operational and business requirements while in compliance to all statutory requirements.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Industrial Relations
Plan, analyse, execute, and facilitate industrial relations matters by managing disciplinary cases, breach of contract (employment & scholarship) cases and employee grievances through thorough investigations, proper documentation, structured communication sessions, and advisory support to management.

This includes addressing employee complaints, misconduct and breach of contract in accordance with established policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct and Business Ethics of ITPSB (UTP), to ensure compliance, foster industrial harmony, and promote a well-informed and ethically aligned workforce.

  • Integrity and Governance

Plan, analyse, execute and facilitate integrity related initiatives by managing the ITPSB Integrity Management System (IIMS), coordinating integrity awareness programs, and promoting a high standard of ethical conduct across university as well as supports the strengthening of university’s governance structures in line with applicable Malaysian laws and regulations as per the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 (Section 17A – Corporate Liability, Adequate Procedures).

  • Employee Relations

Plan, analyse, execute and facilitate employee relations related activities by conducting communications sessions, addressing employee wellness and managing HR events which promote employee-employer interaction to maintain a conducive working environment, foster industrial harmony.

  • Reporting on IIR Activities

Perform analysis on IR cases trending and Integrity related matters. Prepare relevant reports for Management and/or Board reporting as required including any reporting required by PETRONAS or any statutory bodies.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Recognised Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field
  • More than 3 years of experience in relevant field
  • Professional qualification and advanced degree would be an added advantage
