What you'll do:

This multifaceted role requires you to balance technical proficiency with interpersonal skills as you engage regularly with auditors, tax agents, solicitors, regulatory bodies—and most importantly—the wider team whose shared goal is sustainable business growth.

• Oversee all aspects of corporate financial planning including long-term strategy formulation, scenario analysis, and alignment with organisational objectives.
• Manage treasury functions by liaising with bankers to identify, evaluate, and recommend suitable financing options from banks and financial institutions.
• Prepare comprehensive loan applications and proposals incorporating detailed financial models, projections, and business cases to support funding requirements.
• Lead negotiations with banks to finalise financing arrangements covering loan terms, interest rates, repayment schedules, covenants, and ensure compliance with agreements.
• Monitor liquidity and cashflow across the organisation while ensuring efficient placement of excess funds for optimal returns.
• Conduct thorough interest and debt analysis by providing relevant information and reports to facilitate informed decision-making at executive level.
• Drive the management and execution of corporate exercises such as mergers & acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures, fundraising initiatives including due diligence, valuation, feasibility studies, and special projects as required by management.
• Collaborate closely with project managers to develop annual group budgets, conduct project feasibility studies, review budget variances against actual results, and forecast future budget needs.
• Establish robust financial processes by implementing internal controls in line with statutory requirements; regularly review policies for compliance with standard operating procedures.
• Develop risk management frameworks including risk registers and governance structures; oversee regular risk monitoring activities and prepare dashboards for executive or board-level review.

• A Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Degree in Finance or Accountancy (or equivalent) demonstrating solid academic grounding in core financial principles.
• At least 10 years’ experience in relevant finance roles within large organisations; audit experience is welcomed as it brings additional rigour to the function.
• Proven track record working within public listed companies or property development sectors is highly desirable for understanding industry-specific challenges.
• Exceptional mathematical ability paired with an analytical mindset enabling you to interpret complex data sets for actionable insights.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modelling purposes along with strong command of Microsoft Word for report preparation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia facilitating clear interaction across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with senior management teams as well as external parties such as auditors or regulatory authorities.
• Meticulous attention to detail combined with the capacity to perform under tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Experience establishing or reviewing internal controls alongside developing risk management policies tailored to evolving business needs.
