Possess a valid Malaysian Driving License D and a Goods Driving License (GDL).
- Willingness and ability to undertake both local and outstation delivery routes.
- Availability to work Monday to Saturday, with flexibility for optional Sunday work.
- Capability to perform daily basic checks on fuel levels and truck condition.
- Proficiency in using a tailgate; training will be provided for this task.
- Ability to strictly follow instructions provided by the Logistics Manager and Supervisor.
- Commitment to completing deliveries and collections on time, whether local or outstation.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Strong time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- Adherence to all relevant safety regulations during driving and loading/unloading operations.
- Effective communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Tamil language proficiency is a plus.
- Safely operate a lorry for local and outstation deliveries and collections, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct daily pre-trip inspections to check essential vehicle components such as tires, brakes, lights, and fluid levels, reporting any defects immediately.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance, including checking fuel levels and ensuring the truck is in optimal working condition before each journey.
- Utilize the tailgate lift for loading and unloading goods efficiently and safely; training will be provided for this task.
- Follow instructions diligently from the Logistics Manager and Supervisor regarding delivery schedules, routes, and any special handling requirements.
- Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed on time, managing routes effectively to meet deadlines for both local and outstation destinations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, mileage, and fuel consumption as required.
- Adhere strictly to safety regulations and procedures at all times to ensure personal safety and the security of the cargo.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
