Role Summary:

The intern will support the Digital Banking & Leadership department at Asian Banking School (ABS), with a primary focus on financial tasks, administrative responsibilities, and general operational support. This includes assisting in maintaining and updating finance trackers, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping, and supporting day-to-day departmental processes.

The role provides hands-on exposure to financial coordination, administrative workflows, and internal programme support within a professional environment connected to the banking and financial services industry.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with end-to-end finance and administrative coordination for trainers and non-trainers/vendors, including sourcing quotations, compiling supporting documents, preparing engagement letters where required, submitting payment requests, following up on pending items, and tracking payment status.
  • Support branding and recruitment activities, including CV screening, database updates, social media support, event coordination, and preparation of simple promotional materials.
  • Assist in maintaining organised digital records, trackers, reports, and documentation.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support, including ad hoc tasks assigned by the team.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business, Finance, Banking, or any related field
  • Strong written and spoken English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage
  • Good interpersonal, organisational, and time-management skills
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to handle financial and administrative tasks with accuracy
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and digital tools; experience with finance tracking or data management is an advantage
  • Able to effectively use Google and the internet for research and information-gathering tasks
