Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and manage our HR operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive work environment through effective team building, overseeing key HR processes such as onboarding and offboarding, managing performance improvement plans (PIPs), handling payroll, organizing team meetings, and upholding company values and policies as outlined in the employee handbook.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Selection:

  • Manage the entire recruitment process, from identifying staffing needs to onboarding new hires, ensuring the acquisition of top talent that aligns with the company's culture and objectives.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a liaison between management and employees, addressing concerns, facilitating conflict resolution, and fostering a positive work environment.

Training and Development:

  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and support career development, contributing to overall organizational effectiveness.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure the organization's HR policies and practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, mitigating legal risks.

Benefits Administration:

  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies, ensuring employees are well-informed and supported.

Performance Management:

  • Implement and manage performance appraisal systems to evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and support professional growth.

Policy Development:

  • Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures, ensuring they reflect current laws and best practices while aligning with the organization's values.

Team Building:

  • Develop and implement initiatives that promote collaboration, engagement, and a strong team culture.
  • Organize regular team-building activities to enhance employee relationships and morale.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Establish and monitor KPIs for various HR functions to assess effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with department heads to align KPIs with organizational goals.

Onboarding and Offboarding:

  • Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the company, including orientation sessions and training programs.
  • Manage the offboarding process, conducting exit interviews and ensuring a smooth transition for departing employees.

Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs):

  • Develop and implement PIPs for underperforming employees, working closely with managers to set achievable goals and timelines.
  • Monitor progress and provide support to employees throughout the PIP process.

Payroll Management:

  • Oversee payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee compensation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and internal policies regarding payroll.

Team Meetings:

  • Organize and facilitate regular team meetings to communicate company updates, address employee concerns, and promote open dialogue.
  • Prepare agendas and ensure follow-up on action items.
  • Guardian of Company Values and Handbook:
  • Uphold and promote the company's core values in all HR practices and interactions.
  • Maintain and update the employee handbook, ensuring policies are current and effectively communicated to all staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a human resources managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor legislation, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in developing and implementing team-building programs.
  • Familiarity with performance management systems and PIP development.
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
