Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the interior design, construction, or fabrication sectors.
  • Proven expertise in all facets of quantity surveying, including cost estimation, budget management, and financial control throughout project lifecycles.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare comprehensive tender documents, analyze bids, and negotiate contracts effectively.
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles and the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks associated with construction projects.
  • Experience in construction management, with a focus on ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Proficiency in relevant quantity surveying software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin to liaise with diverse stakeholders, clients, and suppliers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Lead and manage all pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying functions for diverse interior design and build projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to budget.
  • Develop accurate and detailed cost estimations, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender documents, collaborating closely with the design and project management teams.
  • Analyze tender submissions, conduct negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers, and prepare award recommendations.
  • Manage and control project costs throughout the construction phase, including variations, claims, and final account settlement.
  • Implement robust risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate potential financial risks associated with projects.
  • Provide expert advice on procurement strategies, contract administration, and dispute resolution.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of commercial issues.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of interim payment applications and final accounts.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, verify quantities, and assess the quality of work in relation to cost implications.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of quantity surveying processes and procedures within the company.
