Sales Surveillance Officer

An exciting Sales Surveillance Officer position has just become available at a renowned multinational insurance company based in Kuala Lumpur.
What you'll do:
Balanced Scorecard (BSC) Framework- Oversee the implementation and management of the MAS Balanced Scorecard (BSC) framework.
- Support the development of sales advisory standards and work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to enhance and elevate the quality of sales advisory within the organization.
- Perform checks mandated by the BSC framework, including reviewing sales documentation, conducting client surveys, validating cases of misconduct, and carrying out mystery shopping exercises.
- Ensure compliance with the regulatory Balanced Scorecard (BSC) framework by delivering high-quality pre- and post-transaction sales performance at the organizational level.
- Conduct reviews of customer call-backs to ensure agency leaders adhere to established requirements during the process.
- Propose suitable actions to address any discrepancies or issues identified during call-back reviews.
- Track the completion of required activities by sales representatives, such as Joint Field Work, coaching sessions, and training programs.
- Carry out the complete end-to-end assessment process for ROP appeals.
- Evaluate ROP appeals and serve as the approver for assessments.
- Oversee agency distribution and handle client call-backs effectively.
- Analyze Mystery Shop findings and categorize infractions based on the severity and materiality of the observations.
- Perform trend analysis on Mystery Shop Exercise (MSE) results and implement appropriate actions or measures to address identified issues.
- Assist the Team Lead in delivering training sessions to the Agency Force aimed at enhancing awareness and understanding of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) framework and Mystery Shop Exercise (MSE), while improving the quality of sales documentation.
- Provide ongoing support to address queries from the Agency Force and drive initiatives focused on improving overall business quality.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Business, Insurance, or Finance-related fields.
- 3–5 years of compliance experience in a financial institution or similar role.
- Basic knowledge of the insurance industry and its operations.
- Familiarity with regulations and guidelines relevant to the insurance/financial sector, such as the Insurance Act, Financial Advisers Act (FAA), MAS regulations, CPF Board regulations, and LIA guidelines.
- Experience working with Distribution functions is preferred.
- Insurance-related certifications (e.g., FLMI (LOMA), CMFAS Module 5, 9, 9A & Health Insurance) are an advantage.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and analytical.
- Strong proficiency in English.
